Modules build on current research, providing practice-based experiences and routines to help teachers develop increasingly sophisticated and detailed insight into mathematics teaching.
10 Sessions Per Module
Each module comprises 10 sessions (≈90 minutes/session) that support teachers in developing expertise – integrated knowledge and skills that are readily useable in day-to-day teaching. Each session meaningfully connects professional development experiences with teacher’s own classroom experiences with curriculum and students in meaningful ways.
Each session includes five to seven parts that organize teachers’ engagement in mathematical problem solving, collaborative learning with colleagues, and exploration of student work and other classroom artifacts. Each session ends with a call to action for teachers to take what they have learned into their classrooms and return to the next session with information and insights to use.
